Wine Wednesdays with Event Complete's Uncorked!

Get your wine glasses out because our next workshop, Event Complete's Uncorked, is going to be amazing! We are putting the final touches on this unique wine-tasting experience and we could not be more excited about it. Michelle Patterson poured her heart into her new wine tasting guide, "Event Complete's Uncorked!" "Uncorked offers wine lovers the opportunity to learn more about wine the way wine was intended to be enjoyed; amongst friends, with humor and in a relaxed atmosphere," said Patterson.

Where do you store your wine? These are tips straight from the book, "Uncorked!"

Keep the bottles stored so...
1. the cork stays moist
2. wines are at the lowest stable temperature possible
3. the location is free of vibration
4. the location is not a storage are for other items that have a strong odor

Come As You Are: Sandi Thompson on Nutrition

Thank You for a Great Event!

Event Complete's sold out "Create your future workshop,” Come As You Are in Five Years, was an overwhelming success! For years I have dreamed of creating an event that pulled in speakers covering topics that all lead up to creating the ideal future! On January 19th that dream became a reality! Feedback from the audience has been pouring in and we have received many requests asking when and where the next Create your future - come as you are in 5 years workshop will be held!

I wanted to say thank you to our audience for their energy and "bringing game" to the event! Hard to believe we were all together for twelve hours! The day flew with such incredible speakers and life changing stories. Several of you commented on your new found understanding and skills shared by experts in their field. The overwhelming theme of the day - when inspiration meets action - nothing is out of reach - got everyone thinking about what they wanted for their future.

The day jump started with Greg Winston setting the tone with a standing ovation and the momentum built from there! Next we had our very own Rock Star, Craig Duswalt the creator of the Rock Star System for Success - How to achieve Rock Star Status in Your industry. Every attendee either bought a book or a ticket or both to Craig Duswalt's Rock Star Boot Camp in March. Craig rocked the house with his stories of touring with Guns N' Roses, as Axl Rose's personal manager, and Air Supply as the band's personal assistant with key marketing tips that can be applied immediately. After lunch Cindy Ashton kept us memorized by performing several Broadway hits and then sharing her personal experience of how despite a damaged heart condition she surpassed all by singing opera.

We received great feedback on our panel discussion with Craig Kausen, grandson of the Academy Award-winning animation director and creator, Chuck Jones. Thinking outside the box has never been so attainable thanks to Craig Kausen! Craig you connect immediately with your audience! The building blocks were in motion as we then went to our next panel speaker, Missy Bystrom, CEO and Director of The Organized Connection. I was stopped several times throughout the day by attendees asking how they too could have Missy help them get their business and house in order - one of Craig Duswalt's first recommendations for jump starting your business. All the way from Oregon came our next panel speaker Sandi Thompson! She delivered an insightful message on the importance of not only maintaining our health but being proactive in our plan of attack - for example - take a picture of each glass of water you drink with your phone so at the end of the day you know exactly how many glasses of water you had, then erase! Our last panel speaker, Bobby Kelly, owner and Director of Results Only, and creator of Fit to Educate has made it his goal to ignite a change in people's perspective on life, health and wellness. I have always wondered who trains the President of the United States - its Bobby Kelly! I loved his comment about time management and how if the President of the United States can find time to work out so can you!

A special thank you goes out to our keynote speaker Tom Antion for making me look great in front of my peers! A few attendees made comments leading up to the big saying this "Tom Antion" better be great Patterson, you sure did talk him up! Let's just say he not only wowed the audience he surpassed all expectations and left the audience wanting more. It is no wonder Tom is the leading Internet Marketing resource for small businesses in the world. He breaks a complex process down into the simplest steps, making it possible for anyone to accomplish. Tom, thanks for coming to Orange County all the way from Virginia just to be part of Event Completes’ Come As You Are in Five Years. You made the event go from memorable to out of this world! I can't wait to be part of your Retreat Center (the only one in the U.S.) learning the fine points of pulling in big bucks on the Internet for four days!

I am so proud of the Event Complete staff and the amazing job they did with such incredible passion. I am truly blessed to be in business with such talented individuals and I am so impressed with the many projects you produce with so much attention to every detail! Yesterday was just one more example of a seamless event that captured the hearts of so many! Congratulations on a job well done!

Come As You Are Speaker: Missy Bystrom's Bio

Do you need to get all of your "ducks" in a row? Get organized in 2011 with Missy Bystrom! Hear her speak at the exclusive Come As You Are Event on January 19th.

While I’ve been organizing things professionally for 23 years, I actually got started ‘putting things in order’ when I was 6 years old. Before striking out on my own, every job I held found me organizing spaces, systems, or in some cases entire departments. I started working with individual clients in 1993.

In my work, I strive to bring balance and harmony to homes and businesses. My clients have a desire for organization and structure but haven’t the time or energy to make head-way. My niche is tailored projects - serving clients from start to finish. I don’t rely on “canned” organizational strategies. I put things together from my client’s perspective. If they’d merely like guidance, I am able to do phone assessment from photographs or movie recordings, or advice via a ‘jump start’ with a 2 hour in home assessment. I have an extended network of collaborative partners that I rely on including real estate agents, moving companies, interior designers, IT professionals and builders. Big projects require many hands!

Home, garage, closets, office, or any space that needs an eye that can bring order to chaos is where I shine. I organize, de-clutter, and make sense of spaces and systems. I am able to downsize homes, or make a lot of things fit sensibly into any space. I thrive in orchestrating com-plete move outs and move-ins, as well as smaller spaces such as kitchens or closets. I can help you with your home office or business space, your home, your storage unit, and any space in between. I am able to coach an individual virtually from a video or a photograph via phone or email. I also professionally coach individuals or groups, and speak publicly on topics such as organizing, de-cluttering, business set ups, time management, and balance. I run a monthly organizational membership club, and am available for speaking at seminars and retreats.

Come As You Are: Guest Speaker, Craig Kausen!

Learn more about our speaker, Craig Kausen, for this month's Come As You Are in Five Years, goal setting workshop!

Growing up in Newport Beach in the 1960s and ‘70s, Craig Kausen could be said to have had the most typical of south-ern California childhoods; lots of outdoor activities, swim-ming, body-surfing, horse-back riding. On the other hand, his formative years were unusual in many other ways; the grandson of Academy Award-winning animation director and creator, Chuck Jones, Kausen was the middle child of Jones’ only child, Linda, who (with her father) is credited with launching the animation art industry in the late 1970s. Kausen’s childhood is liberally sprinkled with love, creativ-ity and unique child-rearing philosophies. All of which has had a profound effect on his entrepreneurial spirit.

A graduate of UCLA with a degree in computer engineering, Kausen later attended (by invita-tion only) UCLA’s Anderson School of Business’ Strategic Leadership Institute in 2002. After graduation in 1985, Kausen began working for Hughes Aircraft developing embedded multi-processor computer systems for Navy display systems. For over a decade, Kausen also taught computer engineering at the college level.
In early 1991, he joined his mother (and brother Todd,) at Linda Jones Enterprises, Inc. devel-oping their computer systems and software to address the specific needs of an art publishing company. He streamlined the processes of production, sales and distribution. Shortly after joining LJE, Kausen became the director of LJE’s retail operations. Between 1992 and 1996 he oversaw the development of the Chuck Jones Showroom into a three-location art gallery chain (now the Chuck Jones Galleries in Tustin and San Diego, California and Santa Fe, New Mexico.)

Kausen’s creative foresight, engineering experience, entrepreneurial and competitive spirit have significantly impacted the success of not only the Chuck Jones Galleries, but also with the retirement of Linda Jones in 2002 and his assuming the mantle of President and recently that of CEO of LJE, the wholesale and marketing arms of the corporation. His visionary outlook and his earnest humility have made him one of the art industry’s leading business talents.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the non-profit Chuck Jones Center for Creativity, Kausen also maintains an active schedule of public and private appearances overseeing and develop-ing the programs and outreach of CJCC throughout Orange County and across the country. Chuck Jones Center for Creativity was founded in 1999 by Chuck Jones to promote creativity, especially in children, but open to people of all ages, utilizing the films, writings and art of the legendary artist, Chuck Jones.

Kausen, the father of four, lives in Orange County with his wife Kimberley, and Chief their dog (who runs the house.) He occasionally can be found on a surfboard off the southern California coast in the early morning hours.
